Creative Cultivation
Featuring local artists from the Temiskaming Palette and Brush Club
From grain elevators to bison farming, the vast and beautiful farmland that is better-known as ‘The Claybelt’ spreads out before us! For many of us, this land is a part of our heritage. This is where our grandparents first cut trees for their homesteads, raised cattle and harvested crops! The beautiful vastness of the Claybelt offers such a unique contrast to the rocks, trees and lakes of our region that we are often overwhelmed and overcome by it. We wish to glean the wealth of this land’s glowing colours - to harvest the sunrises and sunsets, and to preserve the homesteads, barns, livestock and livelihoods through our paintings and interpretation.
